What a weekend of amazing talent from all over NZ! So many great bands, 23 bands all performing passionate, polished sets, it was a treat for everyone who attended to see so many high quality artists… we’re proud and thankful to have been able to work with all those fantastic musicians and present them to the audiences that came along to support and experience NZ Music live at our best live music venues. Thanks to all the people that came along to the shows and made this happen. And to the bands that worked so hard, writing, rehearsing, promoting, travelling, thanks for your enthusiasm and passion; all the best with your careers and if we can help anyway we'll be there for you. Other events, gigs and tours in the works, so see you around for sure!

Thanks to Michelle and Brett for the great sound and pro job dealing with 11 and 12 bands per night and keeping us right on time with the schedule, still smiling and giving every band a great mix! thanks also to Elliot and team for the earlier rounds sound work.

After over a decade of annual BOTB events at the Kings Arms, sadly due to their closure in early 2018, this was last ever National Finals to be held at the Kings Arms. Thanks so much to the Kings Arms team, especially Lisa and Maureen (RIP, we all miss you) for hosting hundreds of shows with us and for giving Auckland such a wonderful live music venue. It sure will be missed by everyone.
